Cook Islands Hotel and Resort Accommodation Guide

The Cook Islands is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the South Pacific. It has a number of resorts and hotels that offer the polynesian experience that may travelers are looking for.

Rarotonga Islands
Rarotonga is the largest and most popular tourist destination in the Cook Islands. The international airport is located here as well as most of the resorts and hotels in the country. The island is quite small and one can drive around it in about 30 minutes, so getting to your accommodation from the airport is quite easy. The island is fringed by a beautiful beaches and an outer coral reef. This makes for fantastic swimming and snorkeling.

Aitutaki Island
One of the most famous lagoons in the world with pristine waters and white sandy beaches it has become one of the Cook Islands most popular destinations. The accommodation here can range from luxury to small beach bungalows, all situated in the spectacular lagoon in the South Pacific.

Outer Islands
The of islands such as Mangalia, Atiu, Mauke, Manihiki, Rakahanga and Palmerston are also great destinations. There are not as many resorts located on these islands but that is one of the things that makes these islands a great place to explore.
